While fans waits for the official released date of X-Men ‘97 season 2, Ross Marquand who voices Apocalypse in the TV animated series has revealed that X-Men ‘97 season 2 will be “very dark” and said “a lot of people die” in the upcoming season.
Speaking to Collider at FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention Marquand said: “I play Apocalypse next season too, so there’s a lot of scenes for myself as Apocalypse. I’m dressed in rags, which is kind of weird, but yeah.” Marquand told the publication that he’s “amazed Disney greenlit” X-Men ‘97 Season 2 because “it’s so dark. It’s very, very dark. A lot of people die, and so many people don’t talk about it. Just being honest.”
X-Men ’97 season 2 is scheduled to premiere sometimes next year. The show’s 3rd season is already in development.
