Toilet-bound Hanako-kun manga will reportedly go on indefinite hiatus due to the author’s health. MoguraRE, who post manga scoops on X(Formerly twitter) shared the news, however, did not divulge if it was due to Iro or Aida poor health.

Iro and Aida have been serialized Toilet-bound Hanako-kun manga in Square Enix’s magazine Monthly GFantasy since 2014 under their conjoined name ‘AidaIro’. The manga series received an anime television series adaptation produced by Lerche which aired A second season of the original anime aired from January to March 2025, and the second cours aired from July to September of the same year. As of February 2024, Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun had over 10 million copies in circulation.
