TOHO and Tokai Production have announced plans to release the new Japanese Kaiju film “Ayura,” globally. The announcement was made at the end of the online preview screening for the film’s crowdfunding supporters.
In addition, the Ayura official Twitter account also revealed that they need to make final adjustments to the end credits and other details, before screening the film to festivals both in Japan and abroad. TOHO also planning a theatrical release and make it widely available on streaming sites such as YouTube.
The new Kaiju “Ayura” was designed by Takuya Uenishi, who has worked on major films such as “Shin Godzilla” and “Shin Ultraman,” and directed “Godzilla vs. Gigan Rex,” and the short film “Godzilla vs. Megalon.” He has also worked in numerous games and music videos, including “Parasyte: The Final Chapter” and “Godzilla 1.0.”
