Akatsuki Games’ PC and smartphone game Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME is scheduled for release on iOS and Android on August 31, 2025. The story will feature Shinomiya Kikoru’s step-sister, Shinomiya Sagan , a member of the special forces unit “CLOZER . ” Shinomiya Sagan was created for the game with guidance by the manga author, Matsumoto Naoya.
The original story begins after the attack on Shinagawa by Kaiju No. 9, which resulted the death of Japan Defense Force commander Isao Shinomiya. However, Isao is still available as a playable character in the game. The key to the story is the “Monster Dimension Gate” that suddenly appears in the city.
In addition, “Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME” is said to be a “giant-killing RPG” in which you deliver a reversal blow to a giant monster – see image below.
