WSJ Manga, who post Shonen Jump news on X(formerly Twitter), is reporting that MASHLE by Hajime Komoto will be receiving a Live-Action Film Adaptation. The account said announcement is from Weekly Josei Issue #14. Additionally, the MASHLE live-action adaptation movie will allegedly be directed by Yuichi Fukuda and will star Arata Mackenyu.
Hajime Kōmoto serialized MASHLE in Shueisha’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from January 2020 to July 2023. A-1 Pictures TV anime adaptation of the manga aired from April to July 2023. A second season aired from January to March 2024. A third season is currently in development.
Set in a magical world in which an individual’s position within society is defined by their power and skill with magic, Mash Burnedead is a young man without so much as an ounce of magic in his blood. In order to live a peaceful life with his adoptive father, Regro, Mash will need to become a Divine Visionary, a title which is only given to exceptional students from the Easton Magic Academy. Despite having no magic whatsoever, Mash goes to the magic school, determined to survive and show the world that muscles can beat magic.
