Beside being directly tied to Peacemaker season 2, James Gunn says ‘MAN OF TOMORROW’ will be a Lex Luthor and Superman team up movie. Gunn made the reveal in a recent interview on the Stern Show podcast 

“It’s a story about Lex Luthor and Superman having to work together to a certain degree against a much, much bigger threat.”

Superman: Man of Tomorrow the animated film was released 2020. It was directed by Chris Palmer, and written by Tim Sheridan. Man of Tomorrow is based on the 2003 mini-series titled Superman: Birthright . The film is centred around the early days of Clark Kent’s career as the superhero Superman. 

Superman: Man of Tomorrow  is scheduled for July 9, 2027.
