Viz Media has unveiled the cover of “Kamudo” vol 1, the Dark Fantasy manga series by “The Legend of Zelda” creator Akira Himekawa. Volume 1 of Kamudo i schedule for release on October 7, 2025.
Akira Himekawa is a manga artist duo consisting of two women, A. Honda and S. Nagano. They began creating manga together in 1987, made their professional manga debut in Weekly Shonen Sunday in 1991, and together have created ten manga adventures based on the popular video game series The Legend of Zelda. Kamudo is their first serialized manga available in both Japanese and English at launch.
Before humans claimed their place in history, the skybound paradise of Hinoaruchi was ruled by demi-beings under the watch of Ryujinkyo’s demi-dragons. Now, as prophecy firetells a turbulent new age, will the birth of Kamuna, the first human child, bring disaster or salvation?
