Disney has announced a new series called Armorsaurs, a series is based off MGA Entertainment and Daewon Media’s 2021 Korean 3D VFX (visual special effect) action animation series ‘Armored Saurus’. In addition, the company also released the series first a poster – see below.
The new Tokusatsu/Power Rangers-Like series consists of 26 episodes split across two seasons. It stars Jailen Bates, Jacob Makabi, Derrick Kwak, Avianna Mynhier, Sade Louise, Julien Kang, Yvonne Chapman and Andrew Russell. Armorsaurs is set to debut on Disney XD on October 13, 2025.
Armored Saurus Season 1 was broadcast on SBS from November 2021 to April 2022, and season 2 aired from July to October 2022. A musical adaptation based on the original animation was released in 2022, and it recorded a 9.8 points. The Korean series is currently available on Netflix.
Armorsaurs follows a team of teen pilots and their armoured dinosaurs, who are humanity’s last line of defence against a sophisticated alien race intent on returning to Earth to replenish their army of prehistoric fighting dinosaurs. Chosen for a rare genetic marker, our five young heroes are trained in the top-secret defence initiative known as the Armorsaurs Program to bond with these creatures and operate the sophisticated battle armour that turns these prehistoric beasts into a formidable fighting force. Together, they must lead the fight to defend the planet in a heroic battle of survival, millions of years in the making.
