Tsumi, who post anime scoops on Twitter, is reporting that Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion and Yuri Seijin Naoko-san’s Tetsuya Takeuchi will direct Kagurabachi anime adaptation at CygamesPictures. 

CygamesPictures was picked ahead of MAPPA and Wit Studio,reason being both studios having too many projects. CygamesPictures is allegedly pushing for a fall 2026 or winter 2027 release date.

In addition, the domain kagurabachi.jp was recently registered. However, there’s no teaser about any upcoming announcements for the work, so there’s no  confirmation if this is an official domain.
