Marvel Comics has released a first look at Death of the Silver Surfer #5, the five-issue miniseries from writer Greg Pak with artists Sumit Kumar and Tiago Palma, introducing Kelly Koh as the new female Silver Surfer.
With the Fantastic Four’s approval, Death of the Silver Surfer #5 will see Norrin Radd passing the Power Cosmic to Kelly Koh, the special agent once tasked to hunt him down. Kelly will continue as the new Sentinel of the Spaceways after next month’s finale. But first, Norrin Radd and Kelly Koh will team up against an ancient universe-ending threat borne from the sins of Galactus.
“Kelly with the Power Cosmic absolutely follows in that [Silver Surfer’s] tradition,” Pak said. “But she’s also got a no-nonsense, cocky, dangerous edge that makes her much less predictable than Norrin and a huge challenge to the villains—and heroes!—of the Marvel Universe.
